Q. What should I pack/what should I wear?
A. March in the desert can bring warm days and cool evenings, so layering is key. You’ll want to be comfortable for movement, cozy in the mornings and nights, and prepared for sunshine during the day.
We suggest:
- Yoga clothes for each day
- A bathing suit to enjoy the hot tub or cool pool
- Hiking shoes or trail runners
- Refillable water bottle
- Sunscreen and sun hat
- Toiletries
- Your own yoga mat and any preferred props (2 blocks, strap)
- Keep it cozy and simple—we’re all about ease and presence.
Q. What is the difference between a retreat and a workshop?
A. We like to think of a ‘retreat’ as being more of an experience or journey of transformation, with the goal of shifting a state of being within yourself, by taking time away from your busy day and reflecting inwards. The practices of yoga, meditation, and nature assist in enhancing this retreat experience.
A ‘workshop’ is more of a learning or training session, where you will learn specific tools and tips and receive action-based information that will help guide you in some way. In a workshop, it’s helpful to take notes and use your mind to remember and analyze information.
At a retreat, we believe it’s important to relax the mind, not take notes, and be open to the experience of ‘being in the flow’ and not in your analytical mind. Our intention is to help you to shift your state of being and tap into a deeper consciousness by relaxing your mind and thoughts, moving beyond the mind, to your inner space of inner peace.
Q. Who is preparing the meals? What will we be eating?
A. All meals will be 100% plant-based and thoughtfully crafted by Chef Francisco of Cocino Folklore, a talented San Diego-based private chef.
Most meals will be freshly catered on-site, with a focus on seasonal, nourishing, and delicious vegan cuisine.
We’re so excited to partner with Francisco—his dishes are vibrant, soulful, and designed to support both body and spirit.
You’ll also enjoy snacks, teas, and treats throughout the weekend.
Q. Will there be free time during the retreat?
A. Yes! While we offer a beautiful, curated schedule of classes and experiences, we’ve also designed time for rest, play, and quiet. Whether you’d like to take a nap, journal, go for a walk, lounge by the pool, or enjoy a casual game—we invite you to move at your own pace.
Q. Do I have to attend all scheduled activities?
A. Absolutely not. This retreat is your experience, and you are always welcome to opt out of any classes or offerings.
We encourage you to listen to your body and inner guidance throughout the weekend. Nothing is mandatory, and everything is designed to support—not pressure—you. Come as you are, and take what you need.
Q. Is this retreat suitable for beginners?
A. Absolutely. Our retreats are open to all levels. Whether you’re new to yoga or have years of practice, our facilitators will offer guidance and variations to support you.
Q. What is your cancellation policy?
A. All sales for retreats and trainings are final. Due to the planning and preparation required for these events, we are unable to offer refunds for any reason, including cancellations, schedule conflicts, or personal circumstances.
We recommend considering travel insurance or similar options to protect your investment in case of unexpected changes.
